FITMENT: In order to ensure that the lock fits correctly, measure the hasp/latch on your trailer door. The size dimensions are shown in the provided schematic. Additionally, check the depth of the hole on the hasp. If the center of the hole is more than 13/16 (20mm) from the edge, the pin will not engage, indicating that the depth of the lock is too shallow. Often, latches are poorly manufactured and the holes are carelessly placed off center, causing fitment issues. If desired, you can modify the hasp to address this issue.
